Recycling Carts:

Each recycling cart has a unique serial number and is assigned to a specific address in Campton Township and remains the property of Waste Management. The recycling cart is to remain with the home if the resident relocates.

  • New Homeowner, Existing Home - New homeowners have a one-time option within the first 30 days of occupancy to contact Waste Management customer service at 800-796-9696 to request a larger or smaller recycling cart. The following sizes are available: 35-gallon, 64-gallon, 96-gallon.

  • New Home - As new homes are built and occupied, each will be furnished with a free 64-gallon rolling recycling cart. New construction homeowners have a one-time option during the first 30 days of occupancy to contact Waste Management customer service at 800-796-9696 to request either a 35-gallon cart or 96-gallon cart for recyclables.

Recycling Guidelines:

  • Please place the contents of your paper shredder in a closed paper bag before adding to your recycling bin

  • It is recommended, although not required, that other small paper items be placed in paper grocery bags or shopping bags prior to being placed in the recycling cart. This will help to avoid scattering of paper on windy collection days. Do not put recyclable materials in plastic bags.

  • Do not mix garbage in with recyclables.

  • Glass and plastic containers should be rinsed free of food before recycling. Paper products which have become soaked with grease, such as pizza boxes, should be put with your garbage as these cannot be recycled.

  • Please separate all caps and lids from containers before placing in the recycling cart. Plastic bottle caps and aerosol can caps go into the garbage, not into recycling.

  • Cardboard must be cut into 3’ x 3’ squares and can be placed in the recycling cart or alongside the recycling cart on collection day.

  • No styrofoam of any kind, including egg cartons and grocery packing trays; these cannot be recycled.
